GENERAL PLOT

It's the year 2169, and the world has progressed further. The modern day nations are gone, in favor of a more united, while still divided high tech world. There is only one nation, Stelisius (STEH-LEE-ZUSH). Humans have discovered how the alignment of the stars has grown to strengthen them, and how they can harness these powers themselves. The world is sectioned into realms, each place sectioned to cater to the individual success and growth of each individual sign.
The world is separated by Zodiac sign, not by birth, but rather by a process known as selection, in which using high technology, each graduate is examined in both personality and physicality, and claimed by the Head Arch of their realm, who represents their realm. These signs have formed into a caste system of sorts, in order of sign with Aries being the lowest caste and most populous and Pisces being the highest and fewest in numbers. These groups are separated into three main 'Quadrumvirates', a group of four signs.
The lower Quadrumvirate consists of Aries, Taurus, Gemini and Cancer. The socio-economic status of these signs is from lower peasantry to the lower cusp of middle class. The Median Quadrumvirate consists of Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio, and ranges anywhere from lower to upper middle class. The final grouping, the Upper Quadrumvirate consists of Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces.
All children grow up with their families, but it is expected of them to leave for their respective domains when they are of age and selected at 16.
All characters who are not selected are deported to the Ophiuchus complex, which houses the unwanted and undesirable. This is seen as the end, and you will be worked to your grave supplying the worthy citizens. This is also where prisoners are shipped to serve their term, though white-collar crime often goes unnoticed.
However, some of the citizens are growing tired of their caste system, there are rumors of a group known simply as the Insurgency, who want a revolution, and a free society. The world is tired of constant oppression under the hands of society and government, and decided to take the movement of change into their own hands.
One year ago, the Insurgency took action. They assassinated the Head of State, Elise Aldenberg. They revealed the killing of thousands that took place in the Ophiuchus Complex, as a twisted means of population control, and called for arms among the citizens. They didn't deny anything, and claimed responsibility for the attack, inciting a revolution and civil war for freedom and justice. Elise's daughter, Aurora took matters into her own hands and forced her way into office, to enforce stricter regulations and weed out the influence of the Insurgency, her ultimate goal to eliminate the rebellion once and for all.
The next week, on the day of July 1st, Aurora captured 12 from each realm who were a part of the Insurgency, and publicly executed them herself on live television, broadcasted across the world as a message, which from then on was known as 'Bloody July' a message to all who thought of leaving for the Insurgency. No matter how high up you stand on the totem pole of society, no one was safe.
